Sherrie, Lynn, and I headed north to Caribou Creek on Saturday in search of colder temperatures and fat ice!
Walking up frozen creeks is one of my favorite things about ice climbing in Alaska and Caribou Creek offered up some amazing ice features to entertain us on the way in.
Cantellya was in big and Sherrie wasn't wasting any time getting started with the climbing...
We had a great, long day climbing Cantellya, complete with a stuck tool (Sherrie), a broken pick (me) and an epic... monster sandwich (Lynn)!!
We finished the climb just in time to rap down and walk the five miles out in the dark. It doesn't get any better! And the car even started!
